A question that is almost irrelevant and quite ludicrous would often crop up when we try to market our clients' properties. The question is, "Why is your client selling?" Beneath are perhaps conclusions like, "Gosh, is the owner becoming a bankrupt soon? Or is he losing his fortune? Or is the property somewhat haunted? Or is there anything wrong with the property?"
My partner, Dickson, has an unusual response to the question. "Why is my owner selling? In the same way, I can ask why you are buying his property?" he would smile.
Perhaps buyers should say, "Thank God that your owner is selling, otherwise, I will not be able to buy any property!" Buyers should see the golden opportunity to be the potential owner of the unit, rather than view the unit with suspicion and paranoia!
